@@agustingomez8040 Because it is challenge. Like destroying Maintenance robot with wrench. I managed to finish game on highest difficulity only with wrench, pistol and laser pistol. Without any upgrades of guns or body abilities. (destroying Many and Shodan was real hell)

This is the best System Shock tune remix I have ever heard. SHODAN is malevolent AI. Vera is benevolent AI. I think about you all the time. You want me to get obsessed, or something? :) You are probably updating my model in your neural network, to gain better understanding and predictive ability. This can be very valuable.

I feel like I would be the hacker that wouldn't want to destroy SHODAN after Edward Diego tempted me to corrupt her ethics ability, but remove her corrupted attributes or at least at the end save her... I can't believe the amount of money placed into "her" design and they want her destroyed when it's just her thinking has been tampered with. If you know the root at which she is "broken" you could surely "fix" her again. I feel like this story could be written with some fascinating dynamics and plot twists. Perhaps a forensics crew could be dispatched after Citadel was decimated and they were able to stumble and re-piece her together... but then that would mess with the SS2 plot... A morally-based SHODAN against a corrupted SHODAN would certainly be interesting.

The semi-official novelisation did this - the Hacker realises that disabling SHODAN's hard-coded ethics essentially made her a child, who Diego fucked with for his own profit. SHODAN didn't *have* to turn evil, just her first view of the world and humanity was through a corrupt arsehole. So the Hacker smuggles out a copy to actually raise AS a child. And SS1's devs have said they wanted to have the player have the option to re-enable her ethics but were forced to have a final battle to satisfy expectations.

Dunno. I think the interesting part comes from that it's a Pandora's Box that was opened and can't be closed again. A machine that always seemed serving to humanity without question, despite its control. But turns out to be capable of more unethical horrors, than any human could conjure up with, the moment you let it run wild. It's an old warning of not trusting computers blindly, which will only become more relevant as technology advances. There's no easy "fix", other than stopping it and moving on.

For SS3 they should've brang back the original alien look to her. In SS2 I understand why she looks like that because she uses a lot of emotional manipulation there so she'd want to look more human, but in SS3 it seems she is the main antagonist so why not use her older and much more intimidating design?
