I heard that you can't do an a capella without the off vocal, but, why is it necessary? I don't understand it very well, and I'm interesting on it

Serena It's pretty simple actually. Usually, off vocals are made before adding in the vocals to finish the song. Now the finished song is basically an off vocal with vocals. In order to isolate the vocal part, the off vocal will have to be inverted vertically. The song will still sound the same even when flipped vertically. So this means that the waveform of the off vocal should be the exact opposite of the finished song so that all the sounds common with the two songs are cancelled out, leaving behind the pristine vocals that I use for remixes. If you want to know more about it, try looking for destructive interference in wikipedia
