Thanks, Alex! I think these two problems are two very practical, fun, and instructive. And certainly not easy to solve!

This game still amazes me, how moving simple counters around a board could be so engaging, infuriating and fun

Good example is... 11-15, then 23-19, 8-11,22-17, 9-13 then the exchange 17-14, finaly 15-18 move...this game it seems very tough to me sir, its very rare to get even a draw... Any help.?

Hello, Samson! I can certainly try and help -- I do have some Old Fourteenth videos, and do cover a number of variations. As for the Kelso, is there a particular opening or line you would like to see? I do cover the Kelso single (10-15, 22-18) and other openings within the 10-15 family, but happy to talk about more! For the opening line you provided, that is actually the Laird and Lady opening, one in fact I try to avoid at all costs! It's a classic unrestricted opening, and just like with the Single Corner, I know maybe one or two lines on it, but that is all. I may cover it in the future, but I am not an expert on it.

Checkers deserves much more respect than it gets in the US. Personally, I prefer chess and other games like go as they are more exciting to me, and it may be the case that checkers is mathematically simpler than chess and go, but the mathematical complexity of a game is an arbitrary number that could theoretically always be larger, there is no objective notion of the ideal level of complexity, that is up to taste. Any game that cannot be mastered and provides a life time of learning is complex enough to be a serious game. A mistake commonly made is to think that checkers is a simpler version of chess, but actually, although it may be technically less "deep" mathematically than chess, it involves a thought process that is totally different and offers totally different experiences from chess.

As a checkers player myself, I thank you for the kind words. Indeed, much of our country see's checkers as a kids game not worthy to be taken seriously. And we have to put up with sayings like, "he is playing chess, not checkers." Like you said, checkers doesn't have the mathematical complexity of chess, but it is way more complex and deep than a game like tic tac toe, or even connect 4. The very best checker engines are now basically unbeatable, but the best humans will never achieve anywhere near that kind of perfection. The game is just way too deep and complex.

Kindly help me with this other old fourteeth opening which goes like this, 11-15, then 23-19, 8-11,22-17, 4-8,17-13,15-18,24-20,11-15,28-24, 8-11,26-23 and finaly the exchange of 18-22. Is there any posibility to win that checker which remaines at 22 and win the game as well? If no kindly share with me how to draw this game it seems very tough to me...thanks a lot.

Of course! I see this 18-22 exchange / piece down line played often online -- it is certainly drawable, but not always easy! The Lees' Guide continuation after the 18-22 exchange goes as follows: 30-26, 11-15 (if 22-25, 29x22, 9-14, 32-28, 14-17, 21x14, 10x17, 19-16 then white will win), 26x17, 15-18, 23x14, 9x18, 29-25, 7-11, 17-14, 21x14, 10x17, 6-9, etc. to a draw.

I'm an amateur and I figured out the first one. I did this by process of elimination. Most of the moves looked bad and I saw no better alternative.

That's a good strategy! Considering every move on the board, and then using process of elimination to decide which route is best!
