It most certainly is about transition and I can totally see from your perspective this being about death. To me it's similar but different. It did just beckon a tear from my eye so it is indeed powerful. To me, it's about those very rare moments when you're able to disconnect from all the chaos of life and this world. As you fade from there you reimerge somewhere new. As your back one connection, you fade deeply Into the other. You are now connected with the Stars and Sky, Sun and Moon, the forests and trees, the wind... everything, all of it. In the silence and stillness you find yourself. Well this really made my day. My cat Ty just died on Monday which I had 12 years. He was so sweet. We had a hard time when we buried him yesterday because of the nature of his death which was a huge shock. Ironically some of the concepts in this song were discussed yesterday.
