very nice design and job. is there a reason i see a 4x4 post just popping up by the stairs on it's own?

Good question. I was matching an existing design from before and the homeowner insisted I install the post like this just to hold onto as she walked up steps. Its a little different but not what I would typically do.

Surprised that you don't run the deck over the top of the fascia board. Standard to nose/overhang at steps.

it doesn't matter if you do want to do it the way your talking about you can get boardes with no grove in it
@TheLastNinjaBuilder Жыл бұрын
You can do it either way. This way the facia hide the end cuts of the boards. I do both techniques depends on project

Decks look better without screw holes. Its much cleaner install using hidden fastners, plus much quicker

How you gonna use a Vintage Collection board and then use TopLoc? Use Cortex, sooooo much cleaner. Concealoc hides all your other fasteners, but then you go and face screw the border. Come on man, spend the extra 10 bucks.

I have seen the cortex pop out on occasion and have to come back to put plugs back in. Also the TopLoc is stainless steel and color matching. You can hardly see it ever. But I see you point.
