I came from catholic back ground,fell in love with Jewish girl,got married under the ghupa,because I turned and became a Jewish convert ,love the Jewish race,was married too my Jewish wife for 65 years when she sadly passed away,I miss her so much every day .i listen to Ázi Schwartz many times,it brings a little comfort in my life .

I grew up in England and loved these wonderful prayers. I live in Israel now. The people here are so brave. Older men with families have volunteered for the army. They have all gone to fight for our country.

The words in both Hebrew and English are written right there in the video. There are other videos on KZbin featuring the same ligurgical poem (it's not really a "prayer" because G-d isn't addressed in the poem, but rather the congregation is), and you'll easily find explanations of its meaning.

For the past twenty five years I have loved this melody, when every shabbat we close our service at Temple Israel Hillbrow Johannesburg SA Mother Synagogue of Progressive Judaism founded in 1936 by the visionary Rabbi Moses Cyrus Weiler.
