In some cases like the rust coat skins the more beat down it is (lower FV) the more it costs. Battle-Scarred blue steel knives are underrated, purplish & dark blue with hints of green/orange make it seem amazing on every knife, and it's much cheaper than black laminate/vanilla (karambit/shadow daggers, since they are black).

In general you dont really need fn skins. Just get 0.07 mw, it's always cheaper and borderline FN

_depends on the type of weapon skin, some are more noticeable of wear and tear even at MW, but in general, you're right._

In that case, it depends on the weapon. On USP-S skins (except for Lead Conduit, Black Lotus and a few more) you can clearly see a difference between MW and FN, meanwhile on other weapons, differences are almost imperceptible.

_late reply, but since the well worn version has less supply on the steam market versus the minimal wear version (even though the mw version has a better exterior condition), people have been able to drive up the price._

_no exterior condition decreases in its condition regardless how often it's used. csgo doesn't have a active deterioration aspect to skins._
