I have off topic question, which version of dt 770 you have? 250ohm's or 80ohm's ? and if you tested both, cause i would like to know if there's much difference cause i have only 80ohm and im curious if its worth it :D

It feels like SKZ have found a sound that works for them. And now they are perfecting it and maturing it and I'm all for it. This feels like a worthy successor to God's Menu. The rest of the album is great as well and I can't wait to see what they have planned for their next releases.
@AZODi3 жыл бұрын
oh for sure! I've been listening to the album a good amount since doing this video, I am enjoying it a lot. For me tho, God's Menu is just too much of a fav of mine haha its one of my most listened to songs of last year!

@@AZODi Oh yeah, following up on such a massively successful song was always gonna be difficult for sure! Thanks for reacting to so many songs! Love your analysis!

I've found that if you release songs that continually exceed expectations it drives up consumer expectation and can eventually fizzle out into disappointment. I was worried due to the expectations placed on them after Kingdom to be honest, their mash up of God's Menu and Ddu Du Ddu Du set the bar. As long as they are sticking to their convictions with music and remain happy I'll follow them to the end. They are such a joy to watch grow.

The traditional setting is what I love the most in this tune, honestly. I was trying to single out whether they had been using traditional instruments, and yes, the kkoengwari is definitely there 😁

When you were talking about how producers pitch songs to companies and so on....i thought WOW stray kids never really had a song pitched to them because all of their songs are written and composed by either entirely by them or with 1 or 2 other writers/producers.....it's so unique because each stray kids song is uniquely crafted for them ensuring they have their OWN distinct sound, unlike a pitched song that could have worked for a handful of other groups if they had the chance to buy the song.

mostly 3racha yeah! if u check out my kairos interview he, co-wrote chronosaurus , but the AnR's really help guide the direction. its all a team effort as always! i think its most likely 3racha had to write a lot more songs than the album as a few wouldn't have worked in-line with the vision too!

This was the first Stray Kids video I watched, then God's Menu and Back Door. While I watched them out of order, they're my favorite, and I notice that all three have what I can only call an "arm gag" - the DU DU DU in God's Menu, the door thing in Back Door, and the hahaha thing in this video. I never listen to such swagger in music, but they really sell it. :) Thanks for the analysis; I subscribed earlier and am scrolling back in time for other songs I know.
@AZODi3 жыл бұрын
haha i never noticed the arm swag move, only in this song! oh man gods menu, it was one of my most played songs on spotify last year! Did you check out that KDA remix i did? A lot of Gods menu in that haha glad you enjoyed the video dude!
@kendalchen3 жыл бұрын
@@AZODi , I just listened to it; I hadn't yet and now I am jazzed about it. That's getting listened to again. What I love about very good remixes like yours is that I don't have to know every song in there. Heck, back around 2010 I found the DJ Masa mashups that served as a springboard into my listening to Korean pop the first time. Listening to the KDA remix is an extra layer of excellent because unlike in 2010, I know a lot more of the source songs in that one. I like that you used some of the same vocal effects I notice that seem unique to the Korean language. I recently started writing down every time I hear a Korean-language song use certain kind of....trills? Rolled r's? I'm a professional language teacher, so this stuff stands out to me. I speak no Korean, but I noticed that there is something in their alphabet/sound system that makes it possible for them to make basically machine-gun noises. It's pretty interesting.

I love your videos! Really up there with some of the most insightful kpop reactors. Easily top 10 for me. Always end them wanting much more and wishing the vids were longer. Love how they incorporated modern instruments with more traditional asian instruments and mirrored it with the visuals. One word to describe this comeback is "Epic." and the production and the bombastic nature of the track really does give the name Thunderous justice.

I don't know if we've said the comments, but the blue fire is the fire of the goblin (a korean folklore character) you must have noticed how traditional the mv is. I saw a Korean reacting to this song, and he said that the boys' rap style in this song, it's a traditional rap style too. People who don't speak Korean hardly notice the difference between normal Korean rap and traditional rap with old words, accents and etc. It's so interesting...😍🥺
@AZODi3 жыл бұрын
oh thats super interesting! i didnt kno that! is that the same folklore story where they throw red beans at the goblin to scare it off? haha
@mooniemudeok3 жыл бұрын
@@AZODi hmm, I've never heard of it, but it might be hahah. But I also saw in a place that they like red bean rice cake. But maybe it's not the same, since this story is sooo old, there can be multiple versions. But it's still suuuper interesting!

to me personally this song feels extremely chaotic - especially the whole part before the first chorus. the chorus really feels like it saved the song :d. other than that, this song is that one Stray kids form, which is great. but I think they went a bit overboard with all of the different things in this song. edit - when you hummed the melody in the end, it reminded me of Drums go dum from KDA :0

That's the whole point. Haters were calling their music noisy/loud without reason so they made this to be like yes we're loud (thunderous/ noisy ones)
