Actually here I want to say something , in my village in odisha, people do call kaala , bhura etc , but the thing is they call it in a platonic way , like on a loving way . Because they do not understand the difference between someone having fair skin and brown skin or whatever skin and why they need to be treated differently. They just call them because they have genuinely that skin color and they just see it as that , nothing more and nothing less. Like for example we have songs in Sanskrit where the beautiful skin tone of krishna and kaali maa are praised , similarly here in the same context. For more example, like how many people name their dogs as browny beacuse they have a brown fur. They lovingly name them . But its the most educated people in Mumbai , now that i am living in are genuinely calling someone kaala , with the intention of hurting or looking down on the person. It makes me sick to the core.
