Haven't been back to Sao Miguel in 30 years. I was born in nordeste but have lived in Canada for 48 years. A lot of changes since I was last there. It is beatiful. Enjoy!

I was born in Sao Miguel, then moved to Bermuda, lived in Somerset..now in the USA.. Last time I've been in Sao Miguel was 1985..time to go back.. beautiful mall.. thanks for sharing! Beautiful family enjoy your vacation 🙂

It's nice to see the family together. I am always amazed of how far our Island has come. When I was there many many moons ago, there was no mall in Ponta Delgada yet...it goes to show you how long that was. I have not heard that about the KFC there...interesting. Enjoy your vacation! I don’t eat KFC anywhere anywhere EXCEPT there the chicken is absolutely delicious!! Also before the Pizza Hut use to serve gourmet pizza now I think they are turning into a regular Pizza Hut.
