I have been doing more research on the calendar since I got it, brother. and honestly the aztec calender was adopted from the older Mayan calender the old Mayan calendar is more complex goes of 3 calender systems wyle the aztec calender only goes of 2 but the are very similar to the eye it's really difficult to notice the difference between the two and this calender Eddie dropped resembles both there's pieces missing of it so we really couldn't say if it's a Mayan or aztec calender. So I just went on the website as what is listed as. The newer Mayan calender is more simpler and doesn't look anything like this. But yes just like you said its a great looking piece and I love it.
