You know even in Mexico they are prejudiced against natives we are seen as lower class than every one else. My mom is native Californian and my dad native mexican and we look native and we get looks when we head to Mexico sad but that's how some people are
@denisse0101889 жыл бұрын
Not everyone is like that, the reason they might look at you that way is because people can tell when you are a foreigner like live in the states. So they tend to scope you out, just like they do in many countries, yeah some are very critical about natives, but not all.

+Tony Yracheta Thats whats embarrasing about mexico. Mexicans here in the US know more about the orignal culture of mexico than the mexicans. They've been brainwashed to love everything white and hate everything brown. Just look at there novelas that 99% of the people in mexico watch. All you see is rich white mexicans and the brown ones are cleaning the houses on these novelas.

You do realize that the Tlaxcal were a Nahuatl speaking people that sided with the Spanish and eventually became the new nobles of Mexico after the Conquest. That said, "Aztec" is the title that was given by the Spanish to refer to the Mexica (Meshica) who were the dominant group that ruled the Triple Alliance as well as Tenochtitlan. With that information, the Tlaxcal could be catergorized under the same title of "Aztec", since the whole region shared the same culture, and the traditions may have past down from them. Also, Nahuatl is a branch of the Uto-Aztecan language family. The same language family spoken by the Comanche, Ute, Yaqui, Hopi, Shoshone, etc.
@whitestar87178 жыл бұрын
+Hector Renteria yeah, Aztecs culture was wide spread, doesn't mean they were all from the same specific group. its like referring to the United states of a whole as Washington D.C. but same people really.

@@whitestar8717 what do you.mwan by "the same specific group?" Many natives that were here in the US and Canada where were renegade indigenous from Mexico and South America. Many came north thousands of years ago to escape persecution from the Aztec empire. Apache, Comanche, cherokee, Mohican etc, all carry the same DNA, including the Aztec.

lordcycle It's sad that most of the descendents of the Aztecs want to be European Spaniards and not the ancient great ancestors they came from. I tell you, the Spanish really did a job of destroying the ancient South and Central American civilizations that where very advanced and ancient before the white man even climbed out of the caves. I'm glad to hear that the Aztec language is not dead and that the culture is still around and that their descendents our trying to make a way back to their ancestors.

ShabazzAllah1 I've converted to islam. alot of the natives in southern mexico are starting to convert to islam also. Were done following a religion that was forced on us. I'm sure when spanish people hear that pisses them off knowing were converting to the religion that once conquered them in spain.

Why are these dancers SO FAR APART! It comes across as a lack of choreography and cohesiveness. I hope they work on this. When I see the dancers in Mexico, they are close together and in unison an oh, so HOT! The vibe is too scattered.

They might not be from the same danza group each danza group does danzas differently I'm from grupo tlaloc and I know when people from other grupos come to dance with us it can be very confusing trying to do the same danza also everyone has there own style so some may be lighter on there feet while others may define their steps more you may see it as unorganized I see it as individualism

Theres no such thing as "authentic cultures." Mexica dance is only one part of Aztec/Mexica culture. You can say American dances are more ceremonial and this are more artistic. But the use of 'authentic' is wrong. Aztecs/Mexica had a large nation which developed artistic forms this is one of them. Neverthless, mexica dance is also prayer and it is based on dancing to the altar in front of you. This specific group does not have that, so you could say they are more fokloric.
@rosenavarro67335 жыл бұрын
@@native-1 You are correct, but why all the fighting? I know we are looked down upon, racism is ignorant, no matter who is speaking it. I did my DNA and it said Native American, not Mexican. Mexican is a location, like Californian, or Texan, it is not a race. The trouble is our Mexican indigenous people hang on to Spanish culture, and I could lose all of it except the food! And to be correct, fry bread is white food. Corn tortillas are not. Tamal, menudo, nopalitos, and mole are all Native foods. We really have to find what we have in common, and Mexican indigenous should find their Native traditions and drop the Spanish influence.
