Dont forget about vent line that goes to filler cap the filter gets clogged and even the line Got 2012 GMC Sierra slt 4x4

Im been getting p0446 code and have replaced the valve solenoid, purge vent, fuel pressure sensor, and the vaper canister, gas cap (oem) and checked for leaks and i dont know what else to do

I did everything too,and also it says solenoid, and I put a new one in , but the piece won’t fit all the way in the hose to click it,over it

I put in a new solenoid in and it was tight to put the hose on but it fixed the code and its been 2 months and no check engine light@kellyhenson4023

Find ground wire goin back to the left side of the engine, probably black with a white stripe, that goes down behind to bolt you can feel sticking out of a heat sheld...take it out and clean it up. Clean the eyelet on the wire too. Don't put it somewhere else that's that is easier to reach like some videos suggest... tighten it. Let us know how you make out here. Throw a couple U-Haul blankets from harbor freight over the engine and don't break anything off fatass 😉

Any ideas if i get the code, my power seems reduced, i smell gas in the cabin occasionally right after starting, usually only if i havent driven for a while so if its sat a while. I havent checked mileage but its probably also down.

I’ve been driving with this same exact code for 4 years now . I have a Chevy Malibu 2004. Out of those 4 years one day the check engine light magically disappeared but it’s back again. Idk wtf the issue is.

Where is this located on a 2013 GM Avalanche? Is this an EASY or HARD fix?? My mileage sucks! (Auto Zone used a scan tool. I’m not electrical or mechanical inclined on this truck.)

Every time it rains ugly this code always pops up and disappears in a day or 2 … I was thinking if you put 2 different types of gasoline from regular to premium 🤔

my truck spits gas back at me. everytime i go to fill it up it comes back through the gas hole. ive checked for kinks and i have none, what could this be? 2013 gmc sierra 1500

Can I keep driving with this code? I have an appt with mechanic next week but I went to put gas in and it was pressurized and vapor/air came out and I was only able to add $13 of gas before the pump kept auto shutting off. I was near empty and it should’ve taken much more gas. I’m also notice some acceleration delay.

That is a common symptom for a bad vent valve. You should have no issue when driving, but it will not pass an emission test.

Spark plugs would affect how the engine runs but won't affect the EVAP system.

i go over water puddles and it starts missfiring and when it rains i cant drive it untill its not wet anymore what piece do i need for a 2003 chevy too fix this?😔

Misfiring? It might be your spark plugs needs to be replaced

The only component in an EVAP system that can cause engine problems is if the Purge Valve is stuck open; otherwise, the system is separate.

If the purge valve is stuck open, it lets gas vapors into the engine, which can cause more fuel in the cylinders than usual. If that happens often, there are often long start times. Your purge valve is likely not stuck open, or you would have noticed issues.
