3:56 so there's a bit of fire Nation lore behind that. Basically hair is tied to honor and so if you lose an agni kai you're supposed to cut off some of your hair. The most disgraced people were left with nothing but the top knot. To cut off someone's top knot would be like higher than the highest level of disrespect. That's part of why they're so dramatic about losing the top knot when they enter the earth kingdom in season 2. It's like they're cutting themselves off from the fire nation entirely

Azula and Zuko were a kind of “Mark Twain twins”. Zuko was first born, and a boy. But Azula was 2nd born and a girl. Azula smoked Zuko in all of firebending. But Zuko is a ninja proficient with firebending and duel swords. Gives me hope.😊

Azula never really recovered from her insanity and the desire to be perfect. She actually somehow escaped the boiling rock and somehow entered the spirit world. She wandered for days ending up in the forgotten mists where people were losing their memories trying to reclaim them. She pretty much is lost somewhere in there unable to even remember her own name. I believe Azula entered her first mental break at the fire palace mirror entering a psychosis. It got worse once the duel with Zuko started and fully entered her full breakdown when she tried lightning strikes. Lightning requires absolute control of one’s mind and in her unhinged state she couldn’t fire them in a straight path and fired randomly. Her mind was gone at that point. Azula would be diagnosed with either schizophrenia or an obsessive disorder to be absolutely perfect if it was modern medicine. Honestly hospitalization and a lot of medications are the only thing that could help even a little.

Azula was fantastic, And I would never compare villains and that's why I think Zaheer is just perfect, in tlok can't wait for u to meet that team! Very different and yet just as dangerous as Azula's team, kinda of what Azula and. Her team would have been if they got imprisoned for 20 years in different prison made specially for them, and they broke out and team up again with a much higher purpose and focus!!
