Azula Returns to Destroy the Fire Nation #avatarthelastairbender #avatar #atla (Spirit Temple) On this channel we’ve started to cover the Avatar Comics and while we go over the search for Azula and Zuko’s mom I wanted to talk about another one of the comics featuring Azula where she’ll actually be our main character, as we pick up in a dark forest at nighttime outside of a fire nation outpost, where Ty Lee is bringing tea to some of her friends, as a group of 4 hooded fire benders sneaks into the base wearing masks on their faces, and we see one of them firing a small bead of blue fire into the grain stockpile, which creates a MASSIVE explosion in the camp. This explosion was clearly meant to be a bit larger as it doesn’t quite cover the retreat of our 4 suspects, but when they get surrounded Ty Lee immediately knows who is up to this and tells Azula that Fire Lord Zuko has had enough of her sabotage, and she dives in to apprehend these 4 when out of the group a blonde masked bender steps up and gets immediately put down. As she’s knocked out and her mask flies off, one of the masked men screams let Chiyou go, as Ty Lee dives in to take care of him as well, and his friends try to fight back and keep from being arrested. This fight ends up being really close between both sides as eventually Azula comes up against Ty Lee and nearly takes her out using her Lightning Bending since after all to her Ty Lee is a traitor, but as Azula creates a wall of blue fire and they all make their escape, Chiyo realizes she’s been left behind.

Honestly, for a nation that bends fire, you'd think they'd have a lot more countermeasures against grain fires. Edit: FYI, there's never any actual evidence that fire benders can actually put out fires they caused. Fire bending masters could probably control fire/heat to a certain extent but not when it's out of control.

Yes, Ty Lee is the strongest non-bender, and she has an extra advantage in a world where people train almost exclusively to fight benders. The only way to reliably defeat Ty Lee is full armor, like Toph's or Aang's fully enclosed rock form, which denies her only means of offense. But even then it'd be very hard to get more than a draw on her.

Azula isn't mindless evil though. She represents a faction of a nation's government that was absolute truth for over a hundred years. As in her eyes and her supporters' the only legitimate heir, a position she was trained for by the previous ruler for years, she's trying to remove an usurper who sided with the enemy from power and recover her throne, after it was taken from her by military intervention before her coronation could be completed. She's certainly not nice and she's a bit unhinged, but her motivation and reasoning are perfectly reasonable from her PoV. If she was evil to her allies, she would not have volunteer combatants under her command. She even engaged Ty Lee in close combat, knowing she's at a huge disvantage, so she could retreat with her people even though she's much faster than any of them and could have retreated alone with 0 risk. We get an outsider's first person perspective on the events of the show over near 200 years of history, she doesn't get that, in her eyes she's the good guy.

Honestly? They messed up with Azula. Think about her life and everything that happened to her and then think about Zukos life and all that happened to him. ... She got abandoned for him all the time! The YOUNGER sister! When she first showed up, I found her strange, but funny and a lot more interesting than Zuko. Zuko, whom had his mother to cuddle him when he was younger and Iroh to hold his hand later on. Makes one wonder what kind of person Azula could've been if literally anyone had shown any interest in her beside her father, who wanted to use her as a weapon. Ps: And that sick excuse of a mother. She is just as much responsible as Ozai, if not more. Azula wouldn't have broken so easily if at least her mother hadn't thought of her as a monster. Azula is still great in this sequence of avatar comic books dominated by lightning on her anti-heroic path, and the spiritual part of the family on iroh's side started to surface in her, which I thought was really cool, Azula's actions drew the attention of the spirits to torment her, punish her, but she proved to be firm and determined in her path and powerful, defeating spirits with lightning and then they persecute her as if they admired her and feared her, wanting her as a kind of possible spiritual leader. She also pretends to be a spirit and after being asked to help the team group team avatar defeats spirits that not even the avatar can defeat but she has no interest in the spirits or their world, which is even better in the character's story and in the general plot. From the drawing the spirits themselves seem to want and choose, the drawing of the adult Aang avatar is coming, will Azula be a fire sage, white lotus, red lotus, will it be like Zaheer trying to bring together balance and harmonize the two worlds for obligation or not or remain disinterested. Anyway, this cool Zuko also beats Azula several times in the comic book and Ty Lee continues to be an equal Kyoshi on Zuko Azula's level. I have high expectations for the adventures of adult Aang, Zuko, Azula and the others, waiting for the adventure of young Iroh, the sandbender avatar and beat em up games and online multiplayer action adventure, another Brazilian fan. The azula moves and fire bender is so assassins creed, reference azula vs aang down of bunker. Azula ainda está de mais nessa sequência dos comics books de avatar dominado raios no seu caminho anti heróico, e a parte espiritual da família do lado do iroh começou a aflorar nela o que achei muito legal, as ações de azula chamaram a atenção dos espíritos para atormenta-lá castiga-lá mas ela se mostrou firme e decidida em seu caminho e poderosa derrotando espíritos com raio e depois eles a perseguem como se a adimiracem e a temecem querendo a como uma espécie de possível líder espíritual. Ela também se passa por um espírito e após ser requisitada para ajudar a equipe grupo time avatar derrota espíritos que nem o avatar consegue derrotar mas ela não tem interesse nos espíritos ou em seu mundo o que ficou melhor ainda na história da personagem e no enredo geral do desenho os próprios espíritos parecem a querer e a escolher, o desenho do avatar aang adulto vem aí, sera que azula vai ser uma sabia do fogo, lotus branca, lotus vermelha, vai ser como zaheer tentar juntar equlibrar e harmonizar os dois mundos por obrigação ou não ou continuar desenteressada. Enfim zuko esta legal também vence azula várias vezes no comics book e ty lee continua uma iqualista kyoshi de nível zuko azula a acima. Tenho grandes espectativas nas aventuras de aang adulto, zuko, azula e os outros, esperando aventura do iroh jovem, o avatar dobrador de areia e games beat em up e action adventure multiplayer online, mais um fã brasil. Os movimentos da azula e dos dominadores de fogo é tão assassins creed, referência azula vs aang de baixo do bunker.

If azula and zuko switched places in the beginning Azula would of been the blue spirit and zuko's storyline would be darker his father tortures and trains him to be the next firelord. In order for azula's character and personality stay the same she finds the avatar in order to get her father's attention and their mother would of been closer to Azula when she was younger. Zuko would be told to keep his distance and focus. Azula chases the avatar, she goes on a journey, she's frustrated and angry. She is a fugitive of earth and the fire nation. Iroh felt guilty he didn't do more for her and stayed by zuko's side. Iroh helps her escape. I think if they did a alternate story like this it would be really good. I always like Azula, however due to her father she and zuko suffered. Azula had potential, I also thought that she could overthrow lord ozai, take the kingdom for herself as a way of showing her father he wasn't strong enough. She became the antagonist. Zuko has to fight his father. I don't know why they didn't do that but zuko never believed he was strong enough to take him down. Azula didn't get a arc that gave her perspective like zuko's journey.

Well, without a timeskip it wouldn't make sense to have that twist. Ozai is objectively the strongest firebender at the time of the show, confirmed by the writers. Azula is also obsessively loyal (one of many reasons she's best girl)

@@Nerthos I don't misunderstand the characters, what I am saying as simply as I can is that ozi is so abusive that he could of used his son and ignore Azula which would make her crazy jealous and act out and she would go chase down the avatar so she wouldn't be ignored and due to her arrogance and ego she would get her father's favor or go crazy while doing so and Aang would of been trapped with Azula and Aang being Aang would try to appeal and understand her. The story would be different but the fundamentals would still be their. Plus their are stories that have done what avatar did but they went a diffrent way and less traditional due to the amount of freedom when creating the series. The characters personality would be intact but the difference would be Ozi wanting to cause Zuko and Azula great pain to make them stronger and Zuko would be more obedient because his will would break. Azula is sent to get the avatar to prove she is worthy and leaving zuko behind so he doesn't prove himself. Azula was the favorite after all.

Hey, question: why can Azula still bend lightning? Zuko couldn't do it because his spirit was imbalanced or whatever, and Azula is legitimately insane right now. So she straight up should not be able to do this anymore. As a matter of fact, she shouldn't have been able to since the Comet.
