Personally I think they would feel underwhelmed.... If you read her battle record man you feel the same. One of the most decorated ships and outstanding crew. I personally feel like they didn't do enough, she and her entire sisters and brothers earned it.

not really, she accomplished alot but US production was insane, and japan was being fought on the ground to a standstill. Navy vs navy discounting all other theaters, we probably coulda pushed you out of hawaii for awhile, maybe even forced you to erect coastal defenses, but you *quite literally* replaced ships faster than they were destroyed, and had multiple army groups worth of reserves ready to pounce if we SOMEHOW made landfall. NOT including all the angry civvies that would have organized. America was uninvadvable, and honestly still is. That’s before counting all of your allies. The only threat the US has on this entire globe is itself.
