Thanks for the video,one doubt here Irrespective of internal/external customers If we try to send request through postman in VM using custom domain APIM url, will the call be sent via app gateway or it will bypass app gateway and directly go to apim Because we need to add DNS record(CName record or A record) of custom domain pointing to both apim private ip and appgw public ip right?

Hi, internal users will reach the API gateway directly not through the App Gateway so you do not need to create a DNS record internally for the App gateway

@@TechConect ok i understood now i am new to the concept of DNS records A record needs to be created in a private dns zone for custom domain mapping to apim private ip And dns record for custom domain mapping to appgw public ip in dns zone for requests through internet I hope my understanding is correct?
