Yes and merge is very tedious in terms of support. I am thinking to make a video on merge text input to delta either using Synapse or Databricks.

Azure Data Studio is tool to connect and manage, Write and run query to Azure SQL. it is similar to Sql Server Management studio but it can run on any OS and has good option to connect to Azure Devops and also we can write notebook etc.
