What a lovely story. These people are very important. They help shape future generations. I think there are many more good things happening in this world but the news only focuses on the bad or little wins. This mani came out beautiful too, but those bottles are a nightmare. I would say for a guy ( bus driver ) a gift card to a local coffee shop or something like that. Maybe to small local stores in the area, if there are any for both teacher and driver. Support small and local if ya can

You are so absolute right!! I completely agree about the media. I think there is a lot more good going on that doesn’t get enough spotlight. This is a huge reason why I decided to share these stories. It has gotten to the point where I can’t even watch the news because it just makes me sick to my stomach. I love your manis as usual. Just a little helpful tip....if you put down a coat of base by itself and let it dry and then add another coat of base and then add your powder like normal, that 1st layer of base will help slow down how fast the subsequent layers dry. I learned this tip from Melissa’s Manis on YT and she is fabulous!! So, hopefully you’ll give this a try because she swears by it. Thanks and be safe 😷

Chelsea, I know this is an older video, but I was a teacher. There were limitations on gifts we could except. No cash and gifts had to be valued at $25 or less in my last place. All districts are different. I'd say keep gift cards to $25 or less. For a male, pick a Cafe or such where they csn get more than coffee. Dunkin, Starbucks, etc habe more

Love your videos! I always default to visa gift cards, then they can use them anywhere! Question, why do you cap the edges before you dip?
@SipAndDip4 жыл бұрын
Ohhh that’s a great idea too!! I cap the edges because I want to make sure I have the dip powder there. Capping edges helps prevent chipping and breaking. If you ever have the corners chip or break, then that can be stopped by capping your edges. Same goes with top coat 💕

Each base is different. What's your recommendation for a slow drying base? Thanks in advance for your response.

I have a few slow drying favorites! 💗 Amazon - 1. Azure 2 in 1 2. Beetles Small shops- 1. Mani boss 2. VIVIDGlam Large business- 1. Sparkle and co low odor base (also available on Amazon) Each of those are also a thin consistency 🥰 hope this helps!

I loved this episode so much! I taught high school and middle school English for ten years. I thought I would always be a teacher, but I knew I was not the type of person to juggle being a new mom and a teacher, and still be happy. The first school district I worked in was rough, but the second one was pretty great and the community was much more supportive. I still talk to many of my former students who have graduated, and they all have a place in my heart. I always felt like any token of appreciation from my students and their parents around the holidays was really amazing. Maybe get the bus driver a gift card to a coffee shop? Do people like Dunkins in Florida? In NH people drink it like water 😂 An Amazon gift card would always be good. For teachers gift cards are great too! Any little holiday treats maybe? Really it’s just knowing that they’re appreciated and thought of during the holidays means so much. Also random added comment, but it’s so cool you grew up in/around Port Canaveral! My FIL has a vacation house on Merritt Island and we go down quite a bit. That whole Space Coast area feels like home to us. We haven’t gone since last year and I miss it so much! 😭

Emily I bet you are so loved by your students! You sound like you were such an amazing teacher and that you made a big impact on them. I LOVE when my teachers get in touch with me and getting to catch up with them. I guarantee that yours love it too! You have the patience of a saint and played an enormous role for each of your “kids” 🙌🏼💕 Dunkin has definitely infiltrated FL 🤣 my hubs loves it. We are a house divided... I drink Starbucks 😆 There is definitely no place Brevard County! Not many places you can go to the beach and watch a shuttle launch 💕 they really have built up Titusville too. They’ve added lots of shops and an outdoor mall. Not sure if you’ve ever gone or you’d be interested but the Melbourne zoo is pretty great!! I know it’s not the best time to venture out but just in case when it is safe 💕 Thank you for all of the amazing gift suggestions too! Why did I not think of Amazon?! 🤣🙈 I am glad though that gift cards are acceptable!! I never know what to gift to those that I don’t truly “know”. Thank you again!! 💕
