I'm not sure if this is going to become a consistent thing or not. I'm also not sure if this really will be meaningful to anyone or not. I had a clear idea in mind, but when this becomes a topic, I tend to just go on a tangent because I have a lot to say about it.
A lot of us deal with depression, especially when it comes to being a creator. This is more or less my story when it comes to depression and my experiences with that, suicide and eventually overcoming it. It's sort of an abridged version, as it's hard to condense 10 years worth of a journey into under 30 minutes.

Do NOT quit Shattered Heaven. When you mentioned your happiness with your own project, it impacted me to hear that in itself. Your vlog did enough to show me that I can do this, that I can live, and love. I too, suffer from depression and hope to reach that point. But the speech was quite impactful. I love your series, Hayate is easily my favorite, and by far do I look forward to it hitting the big screen someday. I'd love it to. Thank you for a successful webseries, and us true fans will continue. I'd love to become friends, but you have your own ambitions which is very understandable. Keep going and make this a reality.

I'm so glad you've come out of the other side of your depression, Adam. As a creator also, I've had dark periods, but they're less and less as I've realized what I have to offer the world. I also absolutely get what it means to want to help everyone. I've been that way for as long as I can remember. It can be so taxing, and not blaming ourselves can be difficult at times. It does get better, and I'm sure this vlog (and later ones?) will help future fans of Shattered Heaven who want to connect with you as a person. Glad we have a friendship, and looking forward to what comes of your resilient hard work in 2015. :)

Totally appreciate you talking about this. Maybe a lot of us creatives go through depression for various reasons. In the end, I feel like this struggle and all the suffering around us helps us become great writers.

Thanks for making this, Adam. Yeah, it was kinda rambly XD But you did bring up a lot of good points, especially the public image through social media and to do things for yourself.
