B-29 Superfortress wreckage via High Shelf Stones, Shelf Brook and Dr’s Gate from Snake Pass.

A bit off an adventure for the kids. We took them to see the wreckage of the USAF B-29 Superfortress which crashed on to Bleaklow Moorland on the 3rd November 1948. The crash took the lives of all 13 American servicemen on board, RIP.
Anyone familiar with Enola Gay, Hiroshima, well this was the same type of aircraft. Quite a substantial amount of wreckage to be seen. The walk as well was quite scenic, we were expecting a whiteout!
