@kalorakalora3 жыл бұрын
If you are a guitar player, you probably appreciate it a lot more. Otherwise it may just seem like air guitar for non-players. As a player, it is incredible how well this was synchronized. Obviously this is not what he was playing, but the techniques heard are shown at the right times and when possible, segments where the playing matched the audio were actually used. I would bet the guy who made this video definitely plays guitar himself. You would not otherwise be able to line up hammer ons and pull offs, slides, bends and vibrato (especially hard to fake I would think) so well that many of the notes fretted are likely within a semitone of being correct

A lot of people forget BB King’s pioneering, neo classical, metal guitar playing. Before his live at the regal concert, BB was donning spandex and permed hair WAY before Yngwie Malmsteen. However, he was so ahead of his time, that folks weren’t ready for it yet. That’s why he settled for a more laid back, blues style.

In 1973., when I was just 15 years old, me and my best friend stood right in front of BB at the foot of the stage and watched him play beautifully for two solid hours. What made it extra special was at the end of the concert BB bent over and with a smile gave me the guitar pick he been playing with all night. It was bright red and had his name "BB King" embossed on it. I am ashamed to admit sometime later I lost the wallet in which I had been keeping the pick. Nevertheless, this video. brings back the memory of this great guitarist and the kindness he showed a skinny 15-year-old white boy who worshipped blues guitar. A genuinely nice man. I loved the way you mixed the images and the sound! Congratulations for your creativity! That would be great to see...unfortunately, it didn't happen. Maybe we'll see Yngwie playing some BB stuff one day. RIP BBKING!

Well, I almost could believe it. I saw BB in concert 3 times over 30 years. The second time I saw him was in the late 1980s in a small venue and in the middle of one song he threw off some very serious jazz licks with a lot more notes than he usually did and way out of the blues pentatonic. I was rather amazed. The guy could play a lot more than blues. Regardless, it was cool to see such a well-done video. I'd like to think it was real. RIP BB. I loved you man.

How many times did you see BB king play fast outside the scale like that? I'd like too see that.. Probably because I'm thinking bb king won't play something unless it belongs or fits perfect, like most guitarist 60 years ago. Because it's badass when they play like that. Except 'Derick Baily'(noise) playing early 60s plays acoustic like a kid scribbling crayons front of an audience actually moved by it.

Bill B., I know your comment is over a year old but… I saw BB several times. He was playing in Lima, Ohio maybe 40 years ago. The sound man couldn’t get the stage monitors right. BB was slightly upset and walked way off to the outside, back of the stage, just barely still in the lights. He kicked in some kick butt jazz licks for a couple of minutes. I was floored! He then returned to the mic and all was well and typical BB. The next day I read an interview in the newspaper. He apologized for “getting a little too far out”!!!! Unbelievable!!!
