BC does not fight fires. Well, not in the sense of trying to put them out. They'll put fighters and equipment 'behind' the fire, working on areas that it's already went through. And that then lets them make the headlines of there being 'dozens of firefighters battling the blaze'. And they'll use pointless helicopters as well, which do nothing to stop a fire. How thd F can BC be on high and extreme fire danger ratings, yet campfires are still allowed?? Because the govt wants those campgrounds filled and that tourism $$, that's why. Every year it's the same. They wait until AFTER a long weekend is over, before putting in a campfire ban. The could care less about the fires.
