I went to gayana samaja on that event by 5 PM.but i dint got opportunity to get in.Auditoriam was jam packed even out side. I stood road side.full of noice . This krithy was not properly heard in the noice. Now i got enjoyed.Thank you Srinivasa Murthygaru for up loading this krithy.On that day i saw many stalwarts one sri Dorai swamy iyengar. KRISHNA MURTHY. Age 70.

What a rendition. Bagayanayya is a beautiful krithi which has always been my favorite and of course is a speciality of guruji . And this rendition is just superb simply the best one I heard till now. Swarams are special just great! Thanks Murthy garu.

I am hearing Bagayanayya from long long ago, first heard when genius was secretary to Tiruvayyaru tyagaraja samiti.............but this alapna and swaravinyasam unheard ..........................no word to express except to say just "sakshaat saraswathi".

This song has long been a favorite of mine. The way BMK sings it is nothing short of haunting. I enjoyed the wonderful narration as well. I do miss those days with our little cassette recorders that faithfully accompanied us to every concert!

One is mesmerized by the way Gurugaaru builds the context for the rendition through the alapana...deeply meditative phrases followed by eerily fascinating prayogas-s (especially the glides/downward spirals spanning 3 octaves) edifying "nee maayalento!" The music world and Muralinaada Rasikas-s are forever indebted to you Sir for your selfless service. Sincere thanks, appreciation and prayers!

This concert was held in Gayana Samaja Bengaluru on 7.11.82 as far as I remember. My brother who attended had recorded the same in an old tape recorder. I have played that cassette several times. It was lost after some time. Now I am thrilled at listening to the same concert recording!.I am really grateful to you Sir

I have heard him sing this many times and I think this is one of his best. The swara kalpana section is just too good! Don't want to spoil anything, so won't mention the comment - but the spontaneity and sincerity of it were spurred by the complete genius of BMK's rendition.
