Balanced sorting is an ethos when configuring and setting up an optical sorter, and one that we at Bühler fully embrace.
An optical sorter that is running in a balanced state (sometimes called mass balance) in its simplest form means that the product sent back for resorting is of the same or lower contamination than the incoming product.
