Before the dam was built, there was a risk of water outages every year due to water shortages, but after the dam was built, concerns about water outages have almost disappeared. It hasn't rained heavily since Typhoon No. 6 last year, and around February of this year there was talk of water outages for the first time in about 10 years, but it started raining after that and no water outages occurred.
