悲報！２歳の息子と同じ問題に挑むも、1問も正解出来ない父ゴリラ⭐️Gorilla【京都市動物園】

夕食の時は別々の部屋に別れるモモタロウとゲンキ。
キンタロウはどちらの部屋も自由に行き来できます。
この日はモモタロウが勉強出来る部屋にいましたが、モモタロウがしないのでキンタロウが隣の部屋からやって来て勉強し始めました。
そしてたくさん勉強して、しっかりご褒美を食べて満足して帰ったキンタロウ。
その後、少しやる気が出たモモタロウがキンタロウと同じ問題に挑戦しますが、普段1〜7までやってないので、やっぱり1問も正解出来ずに諦めました。
ちなみにモモタロウは息子達と違い、正解しなくてもご褒美を貰えます。😊

At dinner, Momotaro and Genki are in separate rooms, but Kintaro can go to either room.
On this day, Momotaro didn't study, so Kintaro came from the next room.
After studying a lot and being satisfied, Kintaro returns to the room where Genki is.
After that, Momotaro tried the same problem as Kintaro, but he never answered correctly.
This problem seems to have been difficult because Momotaro hasn't always studied up to the number 7.

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

人間も、子供からの教育次第でどうにでもなるってのが良く分かりますね。 しかも、間違えたら間違いと認識して悔しがってるし、正解したら喜んでるのは、まだ小さいのに知能の高さに感心する。 しかし、モモタロウと子供達の能力にこれだけ開きが出るんですから、幼少教育ってのは、本当に大事だと、彼等から学ばされました。

I wonder how frustrated Kinny gets with everything else? I’ve seen him get upset with mama pushing him and he will pout and grab her food. He should have more enrichment like learning sign language or watching videos of other kids his age. Gentaro absolutely needs more! He is ready for a next level. Momo could do better if he wasn’t rewarded for not really trying😂 Genki needs a nice private place to eat and get away from the kids sometime!

Even though Gentaro is about 3x larger than Kintaro, Kintaro attacks anyone. He doesn't know the word surrender. Kintaro is a smart cookie, even when it comes to numbers. He gets so frustrated when he gets the problem wrong, but, he doesn't give up. And, he knows instantly that he has hit the wrong number. I think he tries to go too fast just so he can get that treat. Love this little guy. He is so darling no matter what he does, even just sitting looking for his next cuteness to begin. Momotaro tries very hard. Sometimes he even starts on the wrong number, but if it upsets him, he doesn't show it. He's Daddy Cool. He just begins again and learns from his mistakes. Momotaro was much older than Gentaro and Kintaro when he started learning his numbers. Good for all of them. Just goes to prove how intelligent these magnificent animals are.

i hope we get to follow gentaro when he moves out and starts his own family. he will miss kintaro for sure. but in the wild they do the same. i hope he is paired with a spunky female that acts similar to him, annie would be great. she is just as spunky and smart as can be. these boys are so smart and charismatic. momo doesn't do bad for not learning as a child, but he is smart enough to just say "f" it, i'll take the pellets...lol

It's not a reward for getting them right, it's a reward for cooperation. Really, the main purpose of the computer is to stave off boredom since they can't forage for food like a wild troop would.

I love to see the enrichment but are we not trying to substitute our ways for their's? I would love to see them in a rich junge like setting. Momo is utterly bored....

The thing is, there's no way for humans to perfectly emulate their natural foraging habits, so they have to use enrichments to fill the time. It's not about teaching them anything or valuing intelligence. When inactive, captive great apes tend to perform an act called regurgitation/reingestion (R/R) that can seriously hurt their esophagus and teeth. It's theorized to be linked to the monotony of regimented feeding schedules. As far as I know, that's a non-issue at KCZ thanks to all their different toys and activities.

The family is inside,but the boys still have some fun,kintaro climbs up on a rope,and gentaro just ☝ and pulls kintaro down to play with him.Kintaro plays with the computer,and does very well.He clapps and takes his treats.Momoto comes along,and waits until kintaro leaves.He doesn't want the kid to watch him,and sure enough he fail his studies,but expects his treats,and he does get them,if you still want a computer sitting up there.Genki is her still self making sure she gets a whole bunch of food,and away she goes ☝ on the bar to eat.Kintaro sees her ☝ on the bar,and sneeks ☝ the other side of her,and grabs some of her food,thinking she has so much she won't miss the little i take.Genki saw kintaro,and quickly move away,kintaro knows better,you don't grab anyone food.
