Koshimizu Primeval Flower Garden is a primeval flower garden along Shari National Route in Koshimizu town located in the southeastern part of Abashiri city, and is between the Sea of Okhotsk and Lake Tofustu. The area is about 275 ha. Flowers and grass grow thick on a slim sand dune with 8 km in width.
Kitahama Station is an unmanned train station along the Senmo line in the southeastern part of Abashiri city. It is well-known as the closest station to the Sea of Okhotsk in Japan, and its distance is about 20 m from the station to a beach. The distance is about 50 m from the stataion to the sea. In a winter, the sea is covered with drift ice, so the station is popluar as the only station that the drift ice can be seen from a platform in the Japan.
Moyoro Shell Mound Museum was established to solve mysteries concerning the northern ethnic group "Okhotsk people", who abruptly appeared and disappeared approximately 1300 years ago. What has been discovered about the unknown "Okhotsk culture" during the 100 years since the discovery of the Moyoro shell mound is exhibited and introduced according to such themes as "dwelling", "tombs" and "shell mounds", and we can experience the lifestyle of the Moyoro people.

はじめまして。 道産子(オホーツク管内出身者)の自分としても 特に網走市始め東オホーツク地域は母方の親戚も在住している流れもあり想い出も土地勘もあるお気に入りの場所で 昨年夏と今年の夏(2022.7.29と30)、 ２年連続して夏休みを取って小清水町へユリを見に行って来ました。 原生花園いいですよね❗ 私も決まって天気が良い時に当たっています。 公開ありがとうございます😉👍🎶✨
