The way Cantonese chefs run the tap water to rinse the ingredients make no scientific sense and yet the same "technique" got passed on and few question it. It is wasteful and wrong. If the water you soak in stays clear it is evident there is no need to let the water run. Obviously this guy is too set in his ways. Can't teach old dog new tricks.

Unmistakenly Hong Kong old fart we call 老肚. The program is full of condescending remarks which the female cohost is there for.
