@@jacquelineleung8045 There is nothing wrong being 80 years old. What is pitiful about Mui Suet See is that at such an advanced age, she still goes onstage to perform a technically challenging operatic art, which requires falsetto singing and a whole set of stage movements which are clearly beyond her. I loved to hear her vocals and watch her perform in Singapore but that was decades ago, in the 1970s. Today, her singing has deteriorated, her movements have become clumsy and her weight has ballooned, making her unfit to perform . If she is able to do as excellently as she once did when she was a young woman, then age is not an issue. Unfortunately, she could not reach the high vocal notes and fail miserably in portraying the teenage female characters from the scripts, then she should retire altogether, instead of making herself a laughing stock and an eyesore to watch, which are an insult to the art of Cantonese opera that she tries to promote. After all, she is prone to falling sick these days and was recently hospitalized for an infection. It is not good for her health or longevity if she continues making stage appearances. Instead, she should do backend work and teach young, aspiring opera enthusiasts all the music and performing skills she learned back in the 1950s.
