You make killer tunes. I don't know if you remember my obnoxious self in the live stream. I'm in a serious relationship with future funk. What I think honestly, promoting it is hard and you need exclusive releases. It makes it even harder if you're trying to grow your own youtube and you have to compete with your own songs on Artzie. At the same time it is so much exposure and I think you should just keep focusing on your music rather then youtube.

To be honest i never have think to write the artist of the "real" song, but is not a problem, i can do it from today! Usually when people write me (in soundcloud) for the sample i always tell this. Future funk (and french house in general) is like a commemoration and rework of the old glory, so i never put the question on myself cause people usually enjoy the remix and don't think about the original (you can think the 99% of most famous hip-hop track are sampled and the same is for daft punk for example), btw this is a remix of a famous track not "obscure super underground jpop artist"

"Credit" here is the notion that the real acknowledgement of work or skill should go to the person who "originally" created a song, and that "remixing" is somehow uncreative and not work, even though that's essentially what's been happening with blues music for the past century. I like listening to your music. There are no moral quandaries concerning vaporwave and future funk, especially when you conscientiously permit your music to be freely distributed and redistributed, free of charge. And the artists who ask for a dollar or two here and there for "remix work" are really only asking to be paid for the time they took to make the mix. That's not ripping off of anybody. Most of you future funk artists breathe life into dead recordings, recordings that probably had every last dollar already squeezed out of them, other than the die-hard nostalgic fans of yesteryear who go back to the corporate record store and ask to have it shipped in. When a record store collects old vinyls and resells them, is that ripping off the record company or original artist? So how is this any different, if they are offering something different? It's just recycling, and we are caught up in the illusion that everything should be shiny and new. But every shiny new metal toy came from ancient rock and ore in the earth. Everything's recycled. Almost nothing is completely new and original, and those things are works of art or groundbreaking formulas, theories, ideas. It's pretty rare you have a 100% original human thought, and even then, if it came out of the last two to three hundred years, you have a person whose intellect is standing on the shoulders of the last several thousand years of human knowledge and thought. People need to let go of the idea that any one person's work belongs entirely and solely to them. The only reason they cling to this anyway is because their egos are so fragile, so weak, that if somehow they owe a debt to or received assistance from someone else, then the concept of what they personally achieved is somehow less definite, less substantial. They measure themselves by what they have, personally, and what they have done, personally. This is one measurement, and not a terrible one, but it is never perfect or 100% accurate, because everything is shared. Unless of course, you're some kind of literal hermit.
