Boker Cataclyst 42
With the Cataclyst 42, Böker has launched a very interesting concept. In the construction we are dealing with a "single detent slip joint" or a "slip frame". Böker calls this construction "knife with ball holder for the blade".
The knife is therefore §42a compliant. To be on the safe side, Böker had the BKA carry out a weapons law classification that applies not only to the Cataclyst 42, but also to all knives that have the same construction.
Here is a link to the PDF download of the BKA notice "Z-524, Heinr. Böker Baumwerk GmbH, knife with ball holder of the blade":

In my opinion, Böker did everything right here.
At first glance, the knife looks like a frame lock folder ... and due to the platform design, there is also a frame lock version of the Cataclyst 42 ... the Böker Plus Cataclyst. So be careful what you put in the shopping cart before buying ;-).
I see a lot of potential in this concept. I spun the idea of Böker a little further. A great many things would be possible on the basis of this idea. Would be interesting to know what you think of my approaches.
More on this in the video.
