Smt. Biji, Senior General Manager of SIB has well explained the impact of FM's budget on the banking sector. As she has correctly pointed out, the enhancement in credit guarantee sum will enable banks to lend more and that will facilitate increased flow of credit to various sectors including start ups. Further, enhancement in KCC limits, where interest subvention is available,will greatly benefit small farmers. Senior citizens get the relief of doubled TDS limit and banks could attract more funds from that class of depositors.
