In this episode of mine, you will see how I visited Nusa Penida in one day on a low budget. Nusa Penida has several popular tourist places Such as Broken Beach, Kelingking Beach, Crystal Bay, Angel's Billabong & more.
Nusa Penida is a small island located southeast of Bali, Indonesia. It is part of the Nusa Islands, which also include Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Nusa Penida is known for its stunning natural beauty, rugged coastline, and crystal-clear waters.
Here are some key features and information about Nusa Penida:
Location: Nusa Penida is situated approximately 20 kilometers southeast of Bali and is easily accessible by a short boat ride from Sanur or Padang Bai. The island covers an area of about 202 square kilometers.
Natural Landscapes: Nusa Penida offers breathtaking landscapes and dramatic cliffs that overlook the Indian Ocean. The island is famous for its picturesque viewpoints such as Kelingking Beach (also known as T-Rex Bay) with its iconic cliff formation resembling a T-Rex, Angel's Billabong, and Broken Beach (Pasih Uug). Crystal Bay is a popular beach for swimming and snorkeling.
Diving and Snorkeling: Nusa Penida is renowned for its vibrant marine life and is a popular destination for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The waters around the island are home to Manta Rays, Mola Mola (Sunfish), colorful coral reefs, and a variety of tropical fish.
Kelingking Beach: Kelingking Beach is one of the most famous and Instagrammable spots on Nusa Penida. The viewpoint offers a stunning panoramic view of the beach, with its white sand and turquoise waters. However, be aware that the climb down to the beach can be challenging and steep.
Angel's Billabong and Broken Beach: Angel's Billabong is a natural infinity pool formed by the rocky cliffs, and Broken Beach is a natural archway created by the erosion of the coastal cliffs. Both locations offer unique and mesmerizing views.
Atuh Beach: Atuh Beach is another picturesque beach on Nusa Penida, featuring white sand, clear waters, and stunning rock formations. It's a great spot for relaxation and taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Accommodation and Infrastructure: Nusa Penida's tourism infrastructure is still developing compared to its neighboring island, Bali. However, there are a range of accommodation options available, including guesthouses, resorts, and villas, particularly around the main harbors and popular attractions.
Transportation: Getting around Nusa Penida can be done by renting a scooter or hiring a local driver. The roads on the island can be challenging and less developed, so caution is advised while driving. It's also possible to join guided tours that cover the main attractions.
