History has written for us many stories of the previous peoples, whom Allah Almighty mentioned in the Holy Quran, and on the tongue of our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. It contains many, many lessons and morals. In a time other than this time, and in a distant place, the events of the story of the Companions of the Messenger took place. Allah the Almighty said in the Holy Quran: “And ‘Aad, and Thamud, and the companions of Ar-Rass, and many generations between them.” And Allah the Almighty said: “Before them, the people of Noah, and the companions of Ar-Rass, and Thamud denied.” “The companions of Ar-Rass were the people who were people of disbelief and misguidance, so they disobeyed Allah the Almighty, mocked their Prophet, and committed evil deeds. They committed indecencies and buried their prophet alive. So Allah, the Almighty, punished them severely and destroyed them all. There are many narrations about the true identity of the Companions of the Rass. There is a narration attributed to Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man from the nobles of Tamim came to him and said: "O Commander of the Faithful, tell me about the Companions of the Rass. In which era were they? Where were their homes? Did Allah Almighty send a messenger to them or not? And why were they destroyed? I find them mentioned in Allah’s Book.
