Currently BMW recommends Shell Helix Ultra as the Genuine Engine oil for all its variants and its much better than most competitors as per my personal experience , i feel you should also try it and definetly you will get better results

Wrong oil for the diesel car. Needs a low saps oil like mobil 1 eps. Full saps oil in that car will kill the DPF
