Today(August 12, 2022) is the 37th anniversary after the death of 坂本九 Kyu Sakamoto. This is the last voice and singing of Kyu Sakamoto before his tragic death on the same day. The public recording of NHK-FM radio 「歌謡スペシャル 秋一番!坂本九」''Song Special - Kyu Sakamoto'' occurred in the afternoon August 12. 1985. Kyu-san was the host and main singer of the show. Guest singer / 欧陽菲菲 Ouyang Fei Fei (born in Taiwan and was very popular in those days by her hit songs she sang in Japanese). Pianist / 羽田健太郎 Haneda, Kentarou Kyu-san sang 9 songs in the show and 8 were later broadcast on the radio. 01:50 ステキなタイミング Suteki na Timing (Good Timin') Original by Jimmy Jones 10:40 上を向いて歩こう Ue o Muite Arukou (Sukiyaki) , duet with Ouyang Fei Fei 13:07 フォー・ザ・グッド・タイムズ (For the Good Times 心の想い出) Original by Bill Nash Written by Kris Kristofferson 17:28 ウィ・アー・ザ・ワールド We Are The World, with audiences 22:48 心の瞳 Kokoro no Hitomi (Eyes Of The Heart) 40:47 親父 Oyaji (Dad) 45:35 見上げてごらん夜の星を Miagete Goran Yoru no Hoshi o (Look Up At Stars In The Night Sky) 50:13 懐しきlove-song Natsukashiki(Nostalgic) love-song ''Natsukashiki love-song'' and ''Kokoro no Hitomi'' are the last songs he recorded in vinyl single in May 1985. He loved especially ''Kokoro no Hitomi(Eyes Of The Heart)'' very much and wanted to sing it as many times as possible. But too sad that this radio show was the first and the last chance for him to sing it in public. The radio show was over successfully and Kyu-san took the Japan Airlines Flight #123 for Osaka from Haneda airport in Tokyo. It took off at 6:12 pm and then terriblly crashed in the mountain at 6:56:28 pm. All 15 crews and 505 out of 509 passengers died, for a total of 520 deaths and only 4 survivors. Too tragically and sadly, Kyu-san died only a few hours later from the radio show. It broadcasted on NHK-FM, September 1st after his death. He was still 43 years old. Thank You! Thank You!! Kyu-san!!! for your beautiful songs and your countless gentle, brilliant smiles!!!!!
