Jamie is very lovely (同埋好乖). I had an enjoyable trip in Penang in June. If I met you there, I would definitely take pictures with you guys. I don't have eczema, never in my life, but after eating so much strong food like durian, nasi lemak, asam laksa my body got itchy for months. Now, I know how painful it is. I sincerely hope little Jamie (and you) will not have that problem again.

The Airbnb you stayed was very generous. Durian is not allowed in hotel premises. My friend was fined because she ate in her room. The little "notice" in hotel lobby is not obvious, and it was actually one of the rules/ points when she signed and accepted the agreement on arrival... poor her..

We have different varieties of laksa in Malaysia (MY). The commonly known laksa in HK is called laksa in SG, and called Nyonya Laksa in MY. By the way, when you are in SG/MY, do check out our Nyonya Laksa because they only use premade paste to cook it, and it is nothing like when we use actual ingredients to prepare the dish. It hits different. What you had in this video was Asam Laksa (and it's in the Michelin Bib Gourmand list!). To just name a few, we also have curry laksa, Siam laksa, Sarawak laksa, laksam -- to just name a few. The bowl of iced dessert is not Ice kacang. It is cendol. The distinguishing characteristic of ice kacang vs cendol is -- ice kacang should have peanut, red bean, and nata de coco of some sort, sometimes with an ice cream on top, with the shaved ice drizzled in rose syrup. Cendol should have the pandan cendol strips, red bean, and shaved ice as the basic ingredients, come in a bowl full of coconut milk and brown sugar / gula Melaka. Cendol also differs from each shop, as some owners might add corn, peanut, or glutinous rice to it -- and all these combinations taste good. For Beryl, as a Malaysian, I would usually go for the Tiramisu flavour. But take note to not suck the chocholate into your mouth or you'll get choked, like how classic tiramisu should be ;) It is Baba and Nyonya, not Tata and Nyonya. Remember I mentioned about Nyonya laksa? Yes, it was a dish made popular by Nyonyas. And if you look around, you will notice that certain food only exists in certain region. We are very particular about food. If the taste is anything but authentic, we won't like it. So it is easier to find Nyonya Laksa in Penang and Melaka, where Baba and Nyonyas are primarily located in. Malaysia's Bak Kut Teh is different from SG's Bak Kut Teh. Malaysia one is herbal soup based, and we do have the SG one in Malaysia, but we will call it 胡椒豬肚湯, coz the taste is basically the same haha. To us, Malaysia and Singapore's Bak Kut Teh is totally different food (hence we always debate with Singaporeans about their BKT). 濕疹最好長期用天然油護膚，耶子油是好有幫助，最重要是飲食上遠離傷肝食物，所有皮膚問題根原是來自肝傷。我濕疹病已經痊愈了。
