12:50 The best part on this video was Kawada telling "It doesn't matter your powerbomb is good or not. If you show your spirit when u wrestle, fans will love it."
I'm glad that the Japanese fans are enjoying Eddie's work as much as his Western fans are. He is easily one of the most passionate wrestlers in the business and is truly something special.
Kawada is not usually a man of great emotional expression. At first glance, he may appear to be brusque, but when I see his voice getting louder in the second half, I think he's pleased. He is a wrestler at heart, who only explodes with emotion in the ring.

Eddie is so happy meeting his favorite wrestler. He studied all his moves all his matches as a kid. He's doing what some can only dream of. Being invited to NJPW, especially the G1 as a gaijin, is a big deal and honor. Congrats 👏

FACTS.

@@cliffordjackson3 in a way he's right. Eddie was having problems with the 3 companies. The partnership with NJPW and friendship with Shabata is what actually got him there. There's history in this and this guy failed to mention it.

Yet he's in a Brody t-shirt and his finisher is the Northern Lights Bomb😂
そんな荒い男は自分のヒーローとあったら少年らしくなって、何か可愛いな。 Eddie's reaction to pulling up to Kawada's parking lot and getting nervous is pretty endearing. Happy he's living the dream and meeting his heroes, and I hope he gains new fans in Japan. His down to earth demeanour makes him a favourite for us in North America.
The sweetest thing in the world to me is Eddie says "I would love to see Kawada return and fight Taichi". It's not "I'd love to wrestle Kawada" it's "I'd love to see Taichi and Kawada tear it up".

Say what you will about Eddie but the man is a FAN.
I watched so many of Kawada's matches in the early/mid-90's. He was my favorite wrestler in the entire world at that time. State-of-the-art heavyweight wrestling. It sucks that he never got a retirement match.

I’m so happy for Eddie. He is such a talented wrestler, and seems like a very good person. I hope he becomes AEW or IWGP champion one day

So glad to see Eddie so humbled, happy, and appreciate to be pro wrestling in Japan. Eddie is underrated, accomplished, and respected. So fun to see him meet one of his fav pro wrestlers. Two Living legends talking to each other through a translator.

This NEEDS English subtitles because people like me who think this is AWESOME, but do not speak Japanese, NEED to know the answers Kawada gives to Eddie! Please post a full english version SOON! 🙏 Thank you!

Second this. Or at least, someone out there who could transcribe Kawada's answers during the questions.

@@Blacattacsquadron it's a asia thing. not really 'afraid', but more of a 'respect' towards a senpai (senior). especially in pro-wresu, where the senpai-kouhai system presence is still very in place.

Earlier in AEW Eddie got to fulfill one of his dreams when he got to wrestle Jun Akiyama. Now he meets one of his idols Toshiaki Kawada. Kawada looks in great shape.
