To me, Yashahime is the greatest fan-service ever created. Sure, the plot is very convenient, but it's still convoluted enough in a creative way. It's great that they focus more on the girls, and not their parents, and how crucial they actually are to the story, and also how Sesshomaru played the pragmatic father role by enabling the central premise of the rite of courage and cowardice, sort of also enabled by Zero. The characters' dynamics and developments are also interesting, exploring their flaws and traumas in a interesting way. They left room for continuation, but didn't rush to the end like in InuYasha. I still hope for a continuation in which Sesshomaru becomes a version of Toga that is a proper father.
