@@NoTaboos Only on the prototypes and very early variants. It was soon sorted, no problem with the 200 and 300 variants. It was a lovely aircraft but the jet age came up on it very quickly.

BOAC literally $hat on the UK aircraft manufacturers by ordering Boeing 707's when the VC-10 and Britannia's were up to the job and the VC-10 was far more capable for hot and high etc.
