I have a pair of the last generation Sony headphones, the WH-1000XM4s. The main reason I didn’t buy the 5s, is the same reason most people haven’t. They are not foldable. My only complaint is they could look higher in quality. Other than that the sound quality is phenomenal. Same can be said for the earbud equivalent.

Really cool backpack, been looking for something for a long time that isn't just some regular old backpack you can get from anywhere. Really like those headphones as well, I have the sony's but have been looking at something else a little higher end. Keep up the great vids as always

I have kept my last gen iPhone when I travel for a number of years now. It is pre-set with all my apps, settings, set with iCloud so if anything happens with my primary phone it is near painless to switch over. Main phone gets nicked, power up the backup, find WiFi and lock out the primary.

have you looked into messenger bags? they are just as big and they have lots of high end ones, you also get multiple pockets and a big ole shoulder strap so you dont have to put your hand above your shoulder to lug it around like a school kid. i guess the tradeoff is you look like Jack Bauer from the TV show, 24 with his "manpurse". i lug my messenger bag everywhere i go.

You hit a point that I think a lot of people miss in life. Mostly younger, poorer people. That's the point of when you have the means to easily buy the things that are the best quality, or the tier of product that you enjoy (even because it looks a certain way) - it's worth it to you to have that thing because you want it and you can buy it. I have a headphones setup in my house that's about $2000 worth of equipment, the headphones themselves being $1100+ of that. Now when I was like 22, rather than my current age of 42, my broke ass couldn't justify spending that much money to listen to music. As an older person with more sophisticated taste, I can tell you that the experience difference is worth it, if you appreciate it. I have been considering a Fiio M17 for a while for portable music, but I just have other priorities that supersede buying an $1800 tech toy. The same goes for Macbooks. Some people like to piss and moan about Apple products, but despite owning like three dozen computers, running Windows, BSD, Linux, and MacOS - I find myself using my 'old' M1 Macbook more than anything, on a daily basis. The keyboard is comfortable and works for me. The screen is nice. The fit and finish of the body makes it feel like it's solid and quality. The sound for something this small and thin is pretty good. When you can afford the best, or what you feel is the best (because taste is subjective on 'best'); you should have it. I get the impression from the videos of yours that I've seen that you would prefer to own fewer, nicer things - than a lot of things. And you're not really flaunting any of it, you're enjoying it, and sharing the experience of owning it. (And not all of it will be rosey, which probably surprises people.)

This is my second Macbook. My first was a 17" that I got in 2011, I used it as a docked desktop hooked up to two monitors and the only reason I finally replaced it was because Apple obsoleted it after about 10 years, they just couldn't make updates for the chip anymore, but it never failed, never had a single problem, ever. So I replaced it with a trashcan for a desktop and got the 14" macbook Pro for carry around work when I travel. None of my Apple products have ever failed, nothing, ever, and I leave them on 24/7. That 17" laptop was on, operating, 24/7 and never turned off for 10 years straight and is somewhere still working. When you are young, you need build wealth and avoid debt. I am 48 now, I got maybe 20 years left tops, I have enough to last me until then. I will be fine.

@@RobertMoseley I have an old Mac collection and some of them are easily pushing 30 years old. They still work perfectly fine, albeit limited by the era they were made for. My previous Macbook, which still works and is useful, is one of the old 2013 retinas. I still use it for a few simple things, but it's mostly retired. (The M-series just have so much better performance and battery life, it's rare I need it for anything.) In fact, to really make myself feel old, I use the old retina to burn CDs sometimes. 🤣 (With an external USB drive; which for some reason the USB-C connectors don't want to power adequately on the other Mac.) I'll bet that some of the kids watching didn't realize that some of us still use that old dinosaur technology. I also have a trashcan, with the Dual D700 GPUs, and for a computer that's a decade old, it's still not bad. I have a gaming PC that puts it to shame, but it was never made to game on.
