Top notch video Toni! :) I like your new 'KZbin -setup' with just the white wall and the big speakers behind the stands/small speakers. I prefer this kind of review, where you comment on the sound as it happens, so to speak, compared to the ones where there are just pictures of the speakers along with the sound. As for the P6, well, it sounds nice, and like you say, has a special sound to it, a somehow large soundstage (-sphere), if not broad. It does however sound quite a bit artificial, which was especially noticable against the Apollon. The Apollon really blew it away soundwise, impressive. Cheers and good luck to whatever exams you still have left this spring. :)

Personally I think you should compare the P6 to speakers of the same size, all we have seen here is that bigger speakers sound better. Question I have is the P6 the best for it's size class? I also find that placing such rear firing speaker in a corner or against the wall frequently expands the sound, equally nor the best for any critical listening. I want to see the P6 compared to other speakers of comparable size/volume as at the end of the day it's portable and I need to travel with it. Speakers more than twice the are just not practical to carry, especially on an aircraft. The P6 either represents value or it does not, even with it's faults and unless it's compared to other portables in the same size / volume class we have no idea.

In deinen Apollon bekommts du 10 davon rein!
@speakertoni26806 жыл бұрын
@Broxine6 жыл бұрын

The Apollon seems like a normal audio speaker box with an amp. It’s hard to compare this with a bluetooth speaker, which is a portable product. It’s also a bit confusing how you can stay an objective channel to compare speakers if you throw in your own product.
@speakertoni26806 жыл бұрын
ChannelBOZ101 didn’t you watch the introduction video of the Apollon? I mentioned that it’s still a prototype which will get a fully portable all in one speaker soon. It’s not a small bookshelf speaker. In the video I said that the P6 sounds more spacious and is way more portable than the Apollon but I also pointed out that it measures very weird in a comparison. I think it’s not too hard to stay objective here:)
@Freedom899846 жыл бұрын
Speaker Toni ah ok, I must confess that I sometimes skip some parts of the video because you have so much text with nothing to look at. I am a great fan of people who are trying to improve things by making their own prototypes. I think it’s possible, but it comes with a price tag if you use expensive components. It’s the art to make a good speaker with relatively cheap components. The Doss XL is a good example, but the quality is not stable and the speaker box is not sealed airtight. I must say that your Apollon sounds very nice and has an almost perfect frequency response.
@speakertoni26806 жыл бұрын
ChannelBOZ101 that’s ok, 42 minutes is a bit too long for a YT video I think. I wouldn’t say that it’s always the art to make a speaker as cheap as possible while still providing good sound. If this is your philosophy that is the art. But our “philosophy” is to make the best possible sounding speaker in its class. Of course it shouldn’t be crazy expensive but we’re not cutting off stuff to lower the cost. Thanks:)

Great Job. I was actually looking into purchasing the P6 or Vifa Helsinki. I wish you did those comparison. It would have been more fair. If you had to choose between those 2 which would you choose?
@speakertoni26806 жыл бұрын
Boris Vortsman definitely the Helsinki
@Justoneoftheguys6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Toni. I currently have the A1 and Beolit 15. I wanted to have a speaker that would accommodate those two with something in the middle. I’m surprised you actually said the Helsinki. Sometimes with videos you can’t really tell which speaker is better. No matter how could the headphones are. Nothing beats a real life test. In other videos you made, seams that the P6 has more bass than the Helsinki
@mac15296 жыл бұрын
Boris Vortsman the Helsinki is too boring, believe me man. I have tested it in a store. It sounds very realistic? Yes... but too thin... it sounds more powerful than the smaller P6 around 80% to max.vol. Now, when you put it on late night mode, it will have more bass than the P6 around 60% to 70% volume levels, if you increase more, it distorts, if you decrease to 50% it sounds way thinner. The P6 is not as thin as the A1 at high levels.
@mac15296 жыл бұрын
Boris Vortsman if you are happy with the A1 and the beolit 15, then you going to be happier with the P6.
@Justoneoftheguys6 жыл бұрын
M ac thank you. I really appreciate your feedback. If I have to play the Helsinki at close to Max volume for it to sound good then that will be a problem. I like the a1 because with the beolit 15 I noticed that the vocals on some songs are nearly identical. The 15 obviously has more bass and a fuller sound on most songs at higher volumes but still the a1 to me is one of the best small I have heard. This is why I hoped to get something smaller the the 15 to produce great sound.

@speakertoni26806 жыл бұрын

@speakertoni26806 жыл бұрын
Maurice Frank know how nicht wirklich denk ich.
@mxz20246 жыл бұрын
