Gurkha G wagon inspired looks looks dope according to me exterior wise Gurkha is better than thar, I can tolerate all flaws of Gurkha over thar but Gurkha 91 bhp engine is somehow underpowered for a heavy car like it and its acceleration 0-100 in 30 second sucks(compare to 14 sec of thar diesel),Gurkha is not good for overtaking and quick acceleration therefore making it not preferable for city and highway, acceleration is only reason I would consider Thar as a winner.

Fallacies- 1) spelling- Originally it is GORKHA not Gurkha. 2) 4×4×4 is a vague term. 4×4 with MMLD ( Mannual mechanical diff lock) is much more better, matcho, and serious term. 3) design of front lower arm. How is it possible, who previously developed TRAX 290 GTD and Xtreme recent past? 4) Discontinuation of front live rigid heavy duty suspension and RCB ( Recirculating ball type steering), result two major accident clearly pointing for locking of steering. A) manevanjan, district- Darjeeling, B) accident of Uttarakhand in recent past. 5) Last but not least, ground clearance. Trax kargo king offers a ground clearance of 239 mm whereas the iconic off road king of same company offering only 205mm.

Here are my observations. 1. If we talk about practicality, thar is just a 2 seater. We all know that it’s very difficult to get into the rear seats and moreover, as they are located directly above the wheels, they are quite uncomfortable too. On the other hand, Gurkha has easy ingress and coming out of Gurkha’s rear seat is comfortable. Moreover, as they are caption seats, u won’t feel uncomfortable sitting in them. 2. If we talk about off-roading, Gurkha has a lead here. Lesser the number of electrical components, more reliable the vehicle becomes. Imagine your self being stuck in a situation just because one of the sensors of your vehicle has failed and it’s stopping ur engine from starting up. Off roaring enthusiasts don’t care about fancy features. All they need is a reliable machine with will react preciously on their commands. 3. That is literally overpriced and also not available easily. You can buy a Gurkha, and easily save around 2lac as compared to buying a thar. Use that money to buy accessories or fuel. 4. Talking about speakers and cruise control. I feel that people who are buying these vehicles should not be concerned about cruise control. After all, you won’t bet on an elephant in a race. A horse will do. Similarly, if u are planning to drive ur vehicle in city or highway, u don’t need a 4x4 vehicle. And that’s a common sense. Speakers and infotainment system can be upgraded aftermarket and shouldn’t concern. 5. Gurkha doesn’t have that DEF hassle, so u don’t need to worry about spending that extra cash on urea and worrying about DPF issues. Overall, Gurkha is a more practical choice over Thar. Mahindra has hyped the Thar way too much and there are people who have been regretting their decision of not buying a Gurkha over Thar.. My intention of posting this comment is asking people to think practically. And yes, I also forgot the dual differential lock…

Force gurkha is more practical.. 4×4 vehicle need torque tha is good .power is also good... 4×4 vehicle doesn't need more feature .. sensors create roblem ..even arun pawar's thar has many sensor , light and ac issue so no need of feature... That's why gurkha is more practical for family entery and exit is easy in gurkha..but thar is only 2 seater

Bro Gurkha's low end torque is stupendous . Like old Innova 2.5 , Which can easily picks up the car in 5th gear without accelerator . Bigger engine with low power means low end torque is 💪🏼
