Velázquez was around 15 years of age when she wrote Bésame Mucho. It is one of the most famous boleros, and was recognized in 1999 as the most sung and recorded Mexican and Latin American song in the world. The Beatles even covered it!

Hi Shell. Saw this in the feed off to the side and came by for a listen. I must admit, I had never heard of this song until I heard the cover that The Beatles did way back when. Nice to know the history of it. And of course, I love your rendition. Your guitar skills are very good, especially playing on a wide neck classical. I'm struggling with a shoulder injury at the minute aswell so having to review everything playing/position-wise, too many years sitting crouched over the instrument. lol hope you're well xx
