I know you said you do some of the work off camera but I think if not done it would be a good idea to run some water through the cooler before installing to make sure its not leaking. Great work and that is a pretty cool idea for the supercharger setup.

Honestly Dana, I've never seen a B series JRSC in person, but I think it could be alot of fun with a smaller pulley providing more boost, a large diameter (whale penis) cold air intake, a large set of injectors, a Skunk2 70mm throttle body, a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, E85, and tuned on either Crome or Hondata. I'd LOVE to have that setup in a DA on a B18C1. I had a 92 Integra GS when I was 18 and I've missed it ever since...that was 20 years ago. Now I have a 709 whp EJ8 Civic coupe and a 502 whp CG1 3.2 swapped turbo Accord.

Intercooler would not make a difference since it’s before the blower. It has to be after to blower to make a difference in cooling the compressed air
@chefboiali5 күн бұрын
Static never disappoints! Quick question.... I'm in the market for one of these after all of these years, and LHT has their version that doesn't have the fins on the cooling tubes. Do you believe that the cooling tube fins on the one you were asked to install would interfere with airflow?

id be worried about it cracking due to vibration and lack of support on the inside. prolly wouldve been easier to just use flange to custom make a manifold. though wouldve costed more material. also hope motor doesnt lock up when it does happen. maybe go with laminova cores? idk again just depends on budget. for this budget.. nice.

Lower iat. The air is going to blow directly through the cooler, which is going to be attached to a standalone radiator, which cold fluids are going be running through the cooler itself, would blow cold air into the combustion cylinder.

That’s a pretty sick thing to do, but I’d have too much worst case scenarios pop up in my head running that setup. Especially with those flimsy fins, I’d always have the thought of those weak flimsy fins getting force fed into the motor via compressed air from the charger and cause internal damage would be a catastrophic loss in my mind. Let alone roll a dice and get a defected cooler leaking liquid into the Motor as well. Your welding is always on point. Yessir keep up the good work chief, aloha 🤙🏽
