Cincinnati, Ohio, Dayton, Ohio Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit were well known for kicking out great funk bands and the radio stations were great. How many people remember the Funk station in Middletown, Ohio and WDAO in Dayton (FM) and FM 108 WDMT in Cleveland? Half of the time you may not have ever heard of the song or band before, but they sure did kick out some great funk music back in the 70's and 80's! Actually, WDMT in Cleveland was the first radio station in the entire U.S. that started going live on air from Clubs.

I remember! I was a teenager growing up in a small town in northern Kentucky. I would tune in the Dayton station and it rocked my world! Funk lives forever!
