Jinyoung became the leader because he had alot of musical skills?! like he can compose music and write lyrics, he can compose a full song, both lyrics and the music and he can play the guitar! his lyrics were used in alot of their songs and he Literally composed almost every single song they have out.... Most times its base on age the eldest, but is a bit different since CNU is the oldest. Jinyoung was asked to be the leader with all the other members support including CNU

CNU's older yeah, but Jinyoung and CNU are same-aged in Korea. But if you look at how they handle things and personality wise, Jinyoung is more of a Leader type. They're both really composed, but CNU's sometimes a bit 4D in my opinion :P it's quite funny. Jinyoung was also really into music (composing/writing) since before their debut.

It depends if they will accept the offer to them to be a leader. For example, in EXO - M Kris is not the oldest member but he is the leader. Xiumin rejected the offer to be a leader so the another oldest member will be chosen.

I think it was his inability to speak out because, as a leader, most of the questions asked in interviews go to them and they must be able to answer them well in addition to being able to speak for the team. That was my thought when they were talking about it, so I think it revolves around that or something. I don't know.
