(relative to the song) Case in point-see so many singers in the hundreds and thousands on TV now through Saregama etc shows-so many don't have any training. And yet they can sing. very well. Some can even sing very complex tunes. Training is not a guarantee of improvement beyond certain capabilities. Easy tunes versus complex tunes-Rafi got the latter and steadier voice. KK vibrates and cannot do the highs. Rafi better more technically and gifted and capable in every way. Easy 70s tunes were great and easy on the singers-and KK flourished then. Whenever the music directors came up with more complex tunes they'd hand it to Rafi. Of course, in the end ....to each his/her own. Peace.
