Florian Geiser but in belgium, the french-speaking version was called "qui sera millionnaire" (who will be a millionaire, the same title (if translated) as Germany's "wer wird millionaer" or India's "Kaun Banega Crorepati"). so "qui veut etre millionnaire" would have been better...

Yes "Qui Sera Millionnaire ?" was already used by the Belgians, so they wanted to avoid confusion from a similar title (see Germany "Wer Wird Millionär?" and Austria "Die Millionenshow"), and they chose the title "Qui Veut Gagner Des Millions ?". Let's not forget that this happened in 2000, and the word "Millions" is in plural - which then emphasized the main prize of 3, later 4 million francs. When they adopted the euro in 2002, they just didn't want to change the already well-known title.

Csuzdi Gábor but both the German and Swiss versions are titled the same "Wer wird millionär", and people aren't confused; both the U.K., U.S. and Australian versions are titled the same; yet people aren't confused...
